Clinical Assessment, Rapid Diagnostics, and Integrated Action
Enhancing early detection and integrated management of cardiovascular disease in resource-constrained environments.
The Clinical Assessment, Rapid Diagnostics, and Integrated Action (CARDIA) Initiative is a core program of the G-ACT Foundation focused on enhancing early detection and integrated management of cardiovascular disease in resource-constrained environments. CARDIA is built on a patient-centered approach that combines point-of-care diagnostic technologies with streamlined clinical workflows and coordinated care pathways.
The initiative empowers frontline providers through training in clinical assessment and diagnostic interpretation, while also ensuring rapid linkage to higher-level care when needed. By embedding evidence-based tools and protocols into local health systems, CARDIA aims to reduce delays in diagnosis and improve clinical outcomes for conditions such as acute coronary syndromes, heart failure, arrhythmia, and stroke.
The program also incorporates digital health platforms for data capture, remote consultation, and continuous quality improvement. Through CARDIA, G-ACT is building a responsive, efficient, and scalable model of cardiovascular care that bridges the gap between primary health settings and specialized services—turning early diagnosis into lifesaving action.
