Dr. Setri Fugar is an accomplished interventional cardiologist, educator, and global health advocate dedicated to expanding access to equitable, evidence-based cardiovascular care.

As Chief Medical Officer of the G-ACT Foundation, Dr. Fugar leads the development and implementation of clinical protocols, quality standards, and training curricula. His medical leadership ensures that all G-ACT initiatives are grounded in the latest evidence and best practices in cardiovascular medicine.

Dr. Fugar is deeply committed to education and mentorship. He has trained countless healthcare providers—from frontline nurses to specialist physicians—in advanced cardiovascular diagnostics and treatment. His teaching philosophy emphasizes practical skills, critical thinking, and patient-centered care.

He brings extensive experience in interventional cardiology procedures, including coronary angiography, percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), and structural heart interventions.
