Dr. Michael Kwesi Amponsah is a distinguished structural interventional cardiologist with clinical practices spanning both the United States and Ghana (West Africa). He brings a unique perspective informed by his hands-on experience in both high-resource and low-resource healthcare settings.
As Chief Executive Officer of the G-ACT Foundation, Dr. Amponsah oversees day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives aimed at expanding access to life-saving cardiovascular diagnostics and treatments. His leadership has been critical in securing partnerships with leading academic institutions, hospitals, and industry innovators.
Dr. Amponsah holds an MBA in addition to his medical degree, giving him a rare combination of clinical expertise and business acumen. This dual perspective enables him to design financially sustainable programs that deliver measurable health outcomes without compromising quality of care.
He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC) and has presented his work at numerous international conferences.
